The Empire Strikes Back Gets a Catchy Bad Lip Reading

Since the premiere of Star Wars in 1977 – later retitled as Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope – the franchise hasn’t stopped its expansion; not only on the big screen but also with TV series such as The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, video-games and a wide variety of merchandise, that go from action figures to even a Darth Vader toaster.

With seven episodes on the list and two more coming in the near future, and with an anthology series starting soon with Rogue One, the fandom keeps debating which Episode has been the best: is it The Empire Strikes Back? Return of the Jedi? or maybe The Force Awakens? Whichever you choose, it’s undeniable that The Empire Strikes Back was a game changer; not only due to the revelation of Darth Vader being Luke’s father but because it also introduced one of the franchise’s most popular characters – Yoda.

The Grand Master was introduced as a wise yet comical and senile character, and it’s this funny side which has inspired multiple memes and now even a very catchy song courtesy of Bad Lip Reading – who knew Yoda wasn’t so fond of seagulls?
